German dark metal band Lord of the Lost has released the music video for their new single “I Will Die In It,” premiered today, on YouTube. The track is the first from their upcoming album OPVS NOIR Vol. 1, set for release on August 8, 2025, via Napalm Records. Directed by VDPictures and filmed in January 2025 at EXVOLI STUDIOS in Lübeck, the video features a haunting aesthetic with lighting design by VDPictures and operator Audrey “NASA” Tison, complemented by fashion from MINOÁR and makeup by Jessica Mathies.
OPVS NOIR Vol. 1, the first of a trilogy totaling 33 tracks, marks the band’s debut as a six-piece—Chris Harms (vocals), Pi Stoffers (guitar), Class Grenayde (bass), Gared Dirge (keyboards), Niklas Kahl (drums), and Benjamin Mundigler (guitar). Produced by Harms at Chameleon Studios in Hamburg, the 11-track album features guest artists like Sharon den Adel (Within Temptation) on “Light Can Only Shine In The Darkness,” Whiplasher Bernadotte (Deathstars) on “Damage,” and Tina Guo on “Ghosts.” The album dives into darker emotional depths, moving away from the glam of 2023’s Blood & Glitter, which hit #1 on German charts.
