Italian symphonic power metal band Moonlight Haze have announced the release of their new EP, Interstellar Madness, set to arrive May 22 via Scarlet Records.

Led by powerhouse vocalist Chiara Tricarico, also known for her work with Avantasia, the EP continues the band’s evolution into increasingly epic, theatrical, and emotionally driven symphonic metal.

Across six tracks, Interstellar Madness blends striking instrumental arrangements, soaring vocal performances, and introspective lyrical themes. The EP invites listeners on a cosmic journey through emotional and philosophical landscapes, exploring the concept of “madness” as a deeper way of experiencing reality.

Rather than chaos, the band frames madness as a search for hidden truths and inner discovery, pushing beyond surface-level perceptions.

The EP features production and mixing from some of the most respected names in modern melodic metal:

  • Produced by Sascha Paeth (Avantasia, Angra, Kamelot, Edguy)
  • Mixed and mastered by Simone Mularoni at Domination Studio (Wind Rose, Vision Divine, Twilight Force)
  • Artwork by Beatrice Demori / Oround Media

Interstellar Madness Tracklist

  1. Moonlight Legion
  2. Lost In Moonlit Symphonies
  3. We Are Fire
  4. Shine
  5. Interstellar Madness
  6. Interstellar Madness: Finale

Total runtime: 21:04

Interstellar Madness will be available in multiple formats:

  • Digipack mini-CD
  • Vinyl LP (Burgundy Marbled – limited to 350)
  • Vinyl LP (Transparent – limited to 150, mailorder exclusive)
  • Digital release

Moonlight Haze have steadily built a strong international following, with over 10 million streams across Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, and Amazon Music and more than 5 million YouTube views.

Frontwoman Chiara Tricarico continues to expand her presence in the metal world, performing as a live vocalist for Avantasia and appearing as a guest on Manowar’s 2022 EP Highlights From The Revenge Of Odysseus.

Fans will also be able to catch the band live at Epic Fest in 2026, further cementing their reputation as one of the rising forces in European symphonic metal.

Lineup

  • Chiara Tricarico – vocals
  • Marco Falanga – guitar
  • Alberto Melinato – guitar
  • Alessandro Jacobi – bass
  • Giulio Capone – drums & keyboards

With its cosmic themes, cinematic arrangements, and soaring melodies, Interstellar Madness promises to be another powerful chapter in Moonlight Haze’s growing catalog, delivering the kind of grand, emotional symphonic metal fans of Nightwish and Stratovarius crave.
