A brand-new band has entered the heavy metal arena. Leatherwitch, the latest project from vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Marta Gabriel, has released its first headbanging single, “Beast Inside”.
Blending classic speed metal riffs, pounding rhythms, and shredding guitar leads, the track delivers a fierce dose of old-school metal energy wrapped in a gothic horror werewolf narrative. Catchy vocal hooks and relentless pacing make the debut a powerful statement from the new project.

“Beast Inside” showcases Leatherwitch’s raw and energetic approach to heavy metal. The single was mixed by Olof Wikstrand of Enforcer and features a guest guitar appearance by Giuseppe Taormina, known for his work with Ellende and formerly Crystal Viper.
The track’s blend of speed metal intensity and horror-themed storytelling makes it a natural fit for fans of classic European heavy metal with a darker, cinematic twist.
The single will also be released as a limited edition 7-inch vinyl through Listenable Records on April 23, 2026.

Leatherwitch emerges following the 2025 disbandment of Crystal Viper, the long-running group led by Marta Gabriel. Over nearly two decades, the band toured across 20+ countries and appeared at major festivals including:
- Wacken Open Air
- Hellfest
- Keep It True
Their farewell release, The Live Quest, arrived in June 2025.
Gabriel remained active afterward, joining Japanese heavy metal veterans Metalucifer as a bassist during their Heavy Metal Anniversary European Tour, and later performing solo shows in Tokyo.
With Leatherwitch, Marta Gabriel opens a new chapter—one rooted in old-school speed metal, horror themes, and pure headbanging energy. More details about the project’s debut full-length album are expected soon.
