German superhero metal squad Grailknights have unleashed a new surprise for fans, an epic power metal cover of ABBA’s legendary hit “Super Trouper”.
Originally included as a bonus track on their 2025 album Forever, the band has now released the track on streaming platforms, giving the disco-era classic a full superhero metal transformation. It replaces the original’s pop sheen while keeping the iconic melody intact.

According to guitarist/vocalist Count Cranium, the idea was to celebrate one of pop music’s most beloved songs while giving it a heroic twist:
“We’re paying tribute to one of the greatest pop anthems of all time with Super Trouper – the Superhero Metal way! We took this ABBA classic out of the disco and turned it into a powerful metal version that keeps the melody but reinterprets it with heavy riffs, epic energy, and heroic pathos.”
The result is exactly what fans expect from Grailknights:

Released in October 2025 via Perception – A Division of Reigning Phoenix Music, Forever marked the band’s seventh studio album and one of their most energetic releases yet.
