Boston death metal band MORGUED have announced the release of their debut full-length album, Ordnance Obscenum, due out on August 28 via Iron Fortress Records on CD and digital formats.
Opening with cinematic synths before descending into relentless death metal, Ordnance Obscenum tells the story of a galaxy consumed by endless war, authoritarian rule, and exploitation. Across nine tracks, the album explores alien battlefields, toxic worlds, cybernetic experimentation, and the rise of ruthless warlords, delivering a concept steeped in science fiction and military conflict.
Musically, MORGUED combine classic death metal aggression with crushing mid-tempo grooves, precision riffing, and bleak atmospheric passages, creating a soundtrack for a universe locked in perpetual warfare.
The album was recorded and mixed by Chris Leamy, mastered by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air Studios, and features artwork by Ditch Witch. Additional visual contributions include logo design by NNCP Distortions and photography by Bug Duggan, Aaron Stoquert, and Return to the Pit/The Reverend.
The first single from Ordnance Obscenum will be released on July 14, coinciding with the launch of album pre-orders through Iron Fortress Records.
