Spanish metal band DRAGONFLY have released their emotionally charged new single, “Renacer”, paying tribute to the victims of the devastating DANA flooding that struck Valencia. Released through Art Gates Records, the song transforms the grief, frustration, and resilience of those affected into a powerful musical statement.
Rather than fictionalizing the tragedy, “Renacer” draws directly from the real events that unfolded during the disaster. Its lyrics recount the despair of seeing “the impossible arrive, making the sky fall,” while also expressing the anger toward broken promises and institutional failures. At its heart, however, the song celebrates the determination and solidarity of the people who endured the catastrophe, emphasizing how they “survived, conquering the mud” through unity and perseverance.
The single was produced by DRAGONFLY, recorded by Raúl Abellán at The Mixtery Studios, and mixed and mastered by Simone Mularoni at Domination Studio. Accompanying the release is an official music video directed by Redmist Films, while the cover artwork was created by Joe Arca Design.
“Renacer” serves as the second preview from DRAGONFLY’s upcoming EP, Laberinto, scheduled for release on October 2, 2026.

To coincide with the announcement, the band has opened pre-orders for Laberinto, offering several exclusive merchandise bundles. Fans who purchase any pre-order package will automatically be entered into a raffle to win a guitar signed by all members of DRAGONFLY, with higher-tier bundles providing additional entries.
The EP will be available worldwide on October 2, 2026, through Art Gates Records.
