MOTHS Announce US Tour Kicking Off July 31, 2025; New Album Septem Out August 1, 2025

Puerto Rican progressive metal band MOTHS—Mariel Viruet (vocals), Weslie Negrón (bass), Jonathan Miranda (lead guitar), Omar González (rhythm guitar), Daniel Figueroa (drums)—have announced a U.S. tour supporting their album Septem, out August 1, 2025. The tour runs from July 31, 2025, in Orlando, FL, at Will’s Pub to August 9, 2025, at Somergloom Festival in Somerville, MA. Bassist Weslie Negrón says, “We’re thrilled to hit new cities like Florida and Atlanta, celebrate Septem, and close at Somergloom with bands like SUMAC.”

Septem, a seven-track concept album exploring the Seven Deadly Sins, was recorded at Romaphonic Studios in Buenos Aires, mixed by Walter Chacón, and mastered by Jens Bogren (Opeth). It introduces vocalist Mariel Viruet and blends progressive, doom, stoner, death, and black metal. Negrón calls it “unpredictable and unconventional.”
