French hard psych/prog duo Moundrag have released their explosive new single Changes, captured live during their support slot for Deep Purple at the legendary Ancient Theatre of Orange in Southern France. The single arrives ahead of the band’s sophomore album DEUX, due October 17 via Spinda Records and Stolen Body Records.
Watch Changes (Live at Antique Theater of Orange):
About the track, the band comment:
“This is not a Black Sabbath cover, nor a Bowie one — it’s our brand new single. We’re proud to share the live version recorded at the Ancient Theatre of Orange on July 30, 2024. It was an unforgettable day, opening for our heroes Deep Purple.”
Directed by Maureen Piercy and produced by Les Furtifs, the video captures Moundrag signature energy, organ and drum-driven heavy prog with a raw, modern edge.
Rooted in the spirit of the ’70s but unafraid to break boundaries, Moundrag draw inspiration from Deep Purple, King Crimson, Uriah Heep, and ELP, while bridging to contemporary acts such as Motorpsycho and Hällas. Their upcoming album DEUX expands that vision, blending dystopian fantasy, sci-fi, and Celtic myth with themes of resistance against archaic norms and patriarchal structures.
Formed in 2019 by brothers Camille (organ, vocals) and Colin Goellaen Duvivier (drums, vocals), Moundrag quickly established their reputation for fierce, guitar-less rock that’s as hypnotic as it is heavy. Their 2019 debut EP and 2022 full-length Hic Sunt Moundrages laid the foundation; DEUX marks their bold next step.
The album’s artwork, a surrealist piece by Polish artist Justyna Kozikzak, interprets Dante’s journey through The Divine Comedy, mirroring the band’s lyrical explorations of transformation, myth, and inevitable change.

DEUX will be released October 17, 2025 on LP/CD via Spinda Records and LP via Stolen Body Records. Pre-order at spindarecords.com/products/moundrag-deux or stolenbodyrecords.co.uk/shop/p/moundrag-deux.
