Mudvayne Drop Second New Single In Under A Month

Less than two weeks after unleashing their first new music in 16 years, hard rock provocateurs Mudvayne return with another crushing single, Sticks and Stones. The track follows the explosive comeback anthem Hurt People Hurt People, which has already surpassed half a million streams.

An official music video is on the way, but fans can dive into the visualizer now.

Frontman Chad Gray explains the personal weight behind the song:

“I was always told ‘sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.’ Well, I couldn’t disagree more. Words do hurt — especially when they come from people you love. They stain, they linger, and they shape lives. I think I’m just trying to remind people: love your children. Don’t weaponize them. They’re innocent and impressionable, and your words will last long after they’re spoken.”

Alongside the release, the band has launched a limited double A-side 7” vinyl featuring both new singles. Available in standard and hand-signed editions (limited to 500 units), the vinyl is exclusive to the band’s webstore, with an additional variant through Revolver.

The single lands as Mudvayne kick off their L.D. 50 25th Anniversary Tour, running from September 11 through October 26 with support from Static-X and Vended. The trek celebrates the band’s game-changing 2000 debut L.D. 50 while marking their bold step forward with brand-new music.
