German melodic death-doom metal band Nailed to Obscurity unveiled their new single, Spirit Corrosion, from their fifth studio album, Generation of the Void, due out September 5, 2025, via Nuclear Blast Records. The track, accompanied by a cinematic music video, is their most accessible yet, featuring a gripping chorus that highlights the album’s nuanced and atmospheric approach.
The band—Raimund Ennenga (vocals), Jan-Ole Lamberti (guitar), Volker Dieken (guitar), Carsten Schorn (bass), and Jann Hillrichs (drums)—stated: “Spirit Corrosion is one of those songs that hit us hard while writing—emotionally raw, yet powerful and strangely uplifting. We’re incredibly proud of how it turned out and can’t wait to finally share the song and video with you. It’s got one of the most captivating choruses we’ve ever written, layered with dynamic drumming and a deep sense of atmosphere.”
