Goblin metal’s most chaotic band are back. After nearly two decades of cult stardom and viral mayhem, Nekrogoblikon have announced their feral new EP The Boiling Sea, arriving April 17, and they’re kicking things off with the brand-new video for “The Secret Elephant”, featuring none other than ska legends Reel Big Fish.
This release marks a historic new chapter for the band: for the first time ever, the goblin throne is shared.
Former mascot-turned-frontman John Goblikon steps fully into the spotlight with melodic vocals, while extreme metal powerhouse Dickie Allen brings apocalyptic brutality to the mic. The result? A dual-vocal attack that’s equal parts ridiculous, heavy, and oddly majestic.
The EP was produced and mixed by Jason Suecof, and follows last year’s double punch of “Show Me Your Goblin” and “Fiend”. Guitarist Alex Alereza notes that writing happened amid constant touring and the arrival of the new vocal duo, pushing the band into fresh creative territory. Longtime fans also get a bonus: five live Nekrogoblikon classics are included on the release.
