German extreme metallers OBSCURITY have unveiled a new video clip for the track “Rúnar Víg”, taken from their upcoming tenth full-length album Ascheregen, due out on January 29, 2026 via Trollzorn Records.
The song features guest vocals from Erik Grawsiö of Månegarm and showcases the band pushing their established melodic death and Viking metal sound into harsher territory. On Ascheregen, OBSCURITY retain their epic melodic foundations while introducing a sharper black metal edge, resulting in increased intensity without sacrificing atmosphere.

Ascheregen was produced by Tim Schuldt together with OBSCURITY at 4CN Studios, with artwork and layout created by Jan Yrlund of Darkgrove Design. The album follows the previously released track “Ketzerjagd”, which offered an early glimpse into the record’s darker direction.
