Finnish melodic death metallers Omnium Gatherum have dropped their new single The Last Hero, the lead track from their forthcoming album May The Bridges We Burn Light The Way, set for release later in 2025 via Century Media Records. The music video, directed by Jari Heino with additional footage by Brendan McGowan, premiered on June 17, 2025.

Guitarist Markus Vanhala calls it “a powerful OG anthem about an old-school street hero who never gives up… promising more force and groove than the previous album.” Vocalist Jukka Pelkonen adds, “It’s a fast-paced, melodic, and aggressive song with a catchy chorus, telling the story of a relentless fighter.”
The album, successor to 2021’s Origin, marks a heavier, groovier direction. Details like tracklist and release date are pending, but The Last Hero sets a fierce tone, blending Children of Bodom-esque riffs with Amorphis-style melodies.
