New York City black/death trio ORDEALS are now streaming their long-awaited debut album, Third Rail Prayer, exclusively at Transmissions From the Dark. The record is set for international release this Friday, September 26th, through Eternal Death.
Formed in 2011, ORDEALS have carved a name in the underground with a handful of short-length releases: the Apotheosis EP (2016), a split with Daethorn (2018), and the Choose Death EP (2019). Each hinted at the chaos and mastery that would culminate in their first full-length.
Third Rail Prayer is a black/death extremity, merging diseased riffs, emotion-rich melodies, and twisted song structures that veer into angular madness. The result is an album that feels both feral and purposeful, channeling the raw violence of the old Australian cults while summoning visions of purple-black melodic fury from an ancient lineage.
To coincide with the release, ORDEALS will perform at Covenant Fest during release weekend.
