Hardcore veterans Pro-Pain have unleashed their latest single, “Scorched Earth”, alongside a newly released lyric video. The track is taken from their upcoming studio album, Stone Cold Anger, set for release on May 15 via Napalm Records.
Marking the band’s first full-length in 11 years, “Scorched Earth” delivers a crushing blend of heavy riffs, groove-driven guitars, and chant-ready hooks. The track stands as a fierce and anthemic statement, reaffirming PRO-PAIN’s uncompromising intensity and enduring presence in the hardcore scene.
Frontman Gary Meskil shared insight into the track’s themes:
“‘Scorched Earth’ explores what happens when ordinary people are pushed to their breaking point. Drawing inspiration from films such as the 1990s Falling Down, the lyrics examine how pressure, frustration, and a sense of powerlessness can build over time. The song speaks to themes of reckoning, consequence, and the desire for genuine accountability.”
With Stone Cold Anger, PRO-PAIN make their debut on Napalm Records while delivering their 16th studio album. The record captures the band’s signature aggression and groove-laden sound, combining raw energy with memorable hooks and socially charged lyricism. It also follows up on the success of their widely streamed track “Voice of Rebellion” (2015), continuing their legacy with renewed force.

The album sees the return of guitarist Eric Klinger and opens with the punishing “Oceans Of Blood”, setting the tone for a relentless listening experience. Tracks like the title cut “Stone Cold Anger”, “March Of The Giants”, and “Uncle Sam Wants You!” showcase the band’s blend of groove, aggression, and sharp social commentary. Elsewhere, songs such as “Demonic Intervention”, “Rinse & Repeat”, and “Hell Or High Water” maintain the album’s raw intensity, leading into the anthemic “Scorched Earth”. The record closes with “Sky’s the Limit”, a track built on memorable, sing-along choruses.
