Six-member metal band Psycho-Frame have released their new single, Black_Wave II, from their debut album Salvation Laughs In The Face Of A Grieving Mother, set for release on July 25, 2025, via SharpTone Records. The single, featuring vocals from Hunter Young’s other band Moodring, is available to stream at youtu.be/VecNicYAKOE, with the album pre-order available at bfan.link/SLITFOAGM.
Drawing from classic American death metal, Psycho-Frame infuse their sound with chaotic, technical aggression. Black_Wave II serves as an homage to Moodring’s original Black_Wave, with Young noting, “Much of the record is very anti-religious. But that extends to idols in politics and the music scene. No one is above you.”

The tracklist includes:
- Blueprints For Idol Genocide
- Inverted Spear Of Heaven
- The Portal
- Black_Wave II
- Endless Agonal Devotion
- Apocalypse Through Lysergic Possession
- I Won’t Be There To Watch You Go
- Filleted And Fucked
- God Is Busy
- Still Water Salvation
- Neuro++Terror
Formed from a casual collaboration between Hunter Young (Moodring) and Michael Sugars (ex-Vatican), Psycho-Frame evolved into a serious project after bonding over gaming post-tours. Their early releases, including the 2023 single 24 Hours Left and EPs Remote God Seeker and Automatic Death Protocol, gained traction, with the 2025 double single FEED earning a spot on Revolver’s “Top 5 Deathcore Bands Right Now” list. The album, recorded in 2024, emphasizes clarity and heaviness with a straightforward message.
The band consists of Michael Sugars (vocals), Hunter Young (guitar + vocals), Aiden ‘Dave’ Bessent (guitar), Colter Cuthbertson (vocals), and Leo McClain (drums). Follow Psycho-Frame on Instagram and their website.
