American death doom metal band Novembers Doom has released the official music video for Major Arcana, the title track of their twelfth full-length album, set for release on September 19, 2025, via Prophecy Productions.
Following a six-year gap since their acclaimed album Nephilim Grove (2019), Novembers Doom deliver a conceptual work inspired by tarot and divination, reflected in the album’s artwork and lyrical storytelling. Formed in 1989 in Chicago, Illinois, by vocalist Paul Kuhr, the band has evolved from their death doom roots, showcased on their 1995 debut Amid Its Hallowed Mirth, into a unique “dark metal” style. They blend death metal and doom with progressive, folk, and classic rock influences, maintaining a signature atmospheric feel.
The album spans a wide emotional and sonic range, from the ethereal June to the crushing Ravenous, the melancholic Mercy and Bleed Static, and the energetic The Fool and Dusking Day.
