German power metal veterans Rage have announced their new album, A New World Rising, set for release on September 26, 2025, via SPV/Steamhammer, marking a vibrant evolution two years after their dystopian Afterlifelines. The album’s first single, Freedom, is out now with an official music video available to watch online, showcasing a haunting, catchy uptempo track emphasizing life’s core values, particularly freedom. Pre-orders are open across multiple formats, including CD DigiPak, LP Gatefold (140g black vinyl with colored insert), digital/streaming, exclusive CD/LP bundles with a shirt at the Steamhammer shop, and a colored vinyl edition at the Napalm shop.

Band founder Peavy Wagner (vocals, bass) explains, “We need to get out of the destructive mindset that is currently omnipresent… That’s why our message is: Think independently! And don’t believe everything you’re told.” Alongside Jean Bormann (guitar) and Vassilios “Lucky” Maniatopoulos (drums), Wagner highlights the album’s diverse, inspired songwriting, blending the band’s classic sound with contemporary elements.

The tracklist includes:

  1. A New World Rising
  2. Innovation
  3. Against The Machine
  4. Freedom
  5. We’ll Find A Way
  6. Cross The Line
  7. Next Generation
  8. Fire In Your Eyes
  9. Leave Behind
  10. Paradigm Change
  11. Fear Out Of Time
  12. Behind The Shield Of Misery
  13. Straight To Hell ’25

Reflecting optimism and creativity, A New World Rising is Rage’s most multifaceted work yet, recorded with a focus on direct, playful tracks, saving orchestrations for a future release.
