Legendary U.S. heavy metal band Sanctuary return with a major announcement, officially signing with BLKIIBLK and unveiling their powerful new single “Not Of The Living”.

The track marks the band’s first new material since the passing of Warrel Dane and signals a bold new era as they celebrate 40 years of uncompromising heavy metal.

A New Chapter Begins

Founding guitarist Lenny Rutledge shares:

“SANCTUARY is really excited to sign with BLKIIBLK… to bring future SANCTUARY music to metal fans all over the world!”

Stepping into the vocal role is Joseph Michael (Witherfall), who carries forward the band’s legacy with a commanding performance that honors the past while pushing into new territory.

Mike Gitter (Frontiers Label Group / BLKIIBLK) adds:

“They’re building upon that legend… making some of the most vital music of their career.”

The Sound of “Not Of The Living”

Produced and mixed by Zeuss (known for work with Queensrÿche, Rob Zombie), the track delivers:
• Dramatic, classic Sanctuary songwriting
• Soaring, emotive vocals
• Crushing, modern production
• A powerful guest solo from Jake Dreyer (Witherfall, Demons & Wizards, Iced Earth)

Sanctuary are currently preparing for a global 40th anniversary tour, spanning North America, South America, and Europe.

Fans can expect:
• Special sets featuring Refuge Denied and Into the Mirror Black
• Fan favorites and new material including “Not Of The Living”
• Festival appearances at Keep It True, Hyperspace Metal Fest, and Hell’s Heroes

New touring guitarist Will Wallner joins the lineup, adding fresh firepower to the band’s live attack.

Legacy Meets Renewal

With a renewed lineup, a high-profile label signing, and new music on the horizon, Sanctuary prove they are far from a legacy act—they are reborn, revitalized, and ready to push forward.

As drummer Dave Budbill puts it:

“SANCTUARY is back!”
