Seth, the French black metal band formed in 1995 in Limoges, has released a new music video for their cover of Serge Gainsbourg’s 1968 song Initials B.B., coinciding with the one-year anniversary of their album La France des Maudits, released on July 14, 2024, via Season of Mist. The video, directed by Pierre Reynard, is available on the Season of Mist YouTube channel.

The track serves as a bonus piece to La France des Maudits, reinterpreting Gainsbourg’s orchestral ode to Brigitte Bardot as a black metal composition, incorporating themes of divine absence and spiritual collapse. The album, inspired by the 2019 Notre-Dame fire and the French Revolution, features Seth’s current lineup: Saint Vincent (vocals), Heimoth (guitars), Drakhian (guitars), Esoterica (guitars), Pierre Le Pape (keyboards), Alsvid (drums), and Black Messiah (bass).
