Boston’s symphonic metal virtuosos Seven Spires have released their latest single, “Love’s Souvenir,” from their fourth album, A Fortress Called Home, out now via Frontiers Music Srl. The track, accompanied by a haunting music video directed by Chris Kells, is streaming on YouTube. Vocalist Adrienne Cowan describes the song as a raw confrontation of “believing you must be extraordinary to be loved,” born on a dark day during the album’s production. Filmed in a desecrated church in subzero conditions, the video captures the song’s “brocade-and-silk-clad agony” with polished yet visceral intensity. Order the album at orcd.co/afortresscalledhome.

Formed in 2013 at Berklee College of Music, Seven Spires—frontwoman Adrienne Cowan, guitarist Jack Kosto, bassist Peter de Reyna, and featuring former drummer Chris Dovas on this record—blend symphonic, power, and extreme metal with jazz, Romantic orchestral flourishes, and cinematic soundscapes. A Fortress Called Home, released June 21, 2024, is their most introspective work, with Cowan noting, “I visited the void twice while writing this album. It’s ugly. I love it and I hate it, and I think it’s our best work yet.” The album, produced and mastered by Kosto, spans emotional highs and lows across tracks like “Songs Upon Wine-Stained Tongues” and “Architect of Creation.”

Seven Spires supported the album with 2024 tours across Europe (with Skálmöld), North America (supporting Kamelot), and a headlining Japan run with Lords of the Trident. In 2025, they’re set for Wacken Open Air, Rock in Rautheim, Leyendas del Rock, Legions of Metal, a UK tour with Sonata Arctica, and a European run with Ad Infinitum and Phantom Elite.
