Swedish power metal band Shadowborne have released the official video for “Heaven’s Falling (Dragons’ Hymn)”, the second single from their upcoming debut album Heaven’s Falling, due out June 19 via Scarlet Records.
“Heaven’s Falling (Dragons’ Hymn)” channels the perspective of ancient, sky-dominating forces who see themselves as the rightful rulers of all realms. Fierce, proud, and teetering on madness, the track unfolds like a blazing hymn of dominance—driven by cinematic build-ups, soaring melodies, and relentless energy that feels like the world trembling beneath wings of fire.
A New Force in Power Metal
Blending epic storytelling with a heavy, cinematic sound, Shadowborne emerges as a fresh contender in the modern power metal scene. Their music fuses massive riffs, driving rhythms, and memorable melodic hooks, shifting between battle-ready anthems and darker, atmospheric passages.
Drawing inspiration from Viking mythology and the worlds of Game of Thrones and Vikings, Heaven’s Falling builds a lore steeped in conflict, loyalty, betrayal, and destiny. While the imagery is fantastical, the themes remain grounded—exploring honor, exile, ambition, and the human cost of power.
