Modern metal band SICKSENSE have released their new EP, Funerals, alongside an official music video for the track “Seller’s Remorse.”
The four-track release marks a new chapter for SICKSENSE, pushing the band further into a heavier nu-metalcore direction while incorporating elements of melodic progressive metal and djent.
Leading the EP’s arrival is “Seller’s Remorse,” an aggressive track aimed squarely at hypocrisy, jealousy and those who would rather tear down the accomplishments of others than build something themselves.
“‘Seller’s Remorse’ calls out hypocritical backstabbers,” the band explains.
“The lyrics take a dig at the ones who are too lazy to build up anything meaningful themselves. So they decide to tear down harder working people instead, as a cope for their own shortcomings.
“SICKSENSE is never shy to tell it like it is through sarcasm and blunt honesty.”
The band also kept things considerably lighter behind the scenes while creating the song’s accompanying video.
“Without giving away any spoilers, we had a fun day of laughs out in the sun filming the music video for this one!”
A new chapter for SICKSENSE
Fronted by vocalists Vicky Psarakis and Robby J. Fonts, SICKSENSE combine metalcore, nu metal and djent with contrasting vocal styles that move between melodic singing, screams, aggressive delivery and rap-influenced cadences.
The band first emerged with “Make Believe” in 2021 before releasing the Kings Today EP in 2022 and Fools Tomorrow in 2023.
SICKSENSE signed with Earache Records in 2023 and released their debut full-length album, Cross Me Twice, in 2025. The record reached No. 10 on the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart and No. 33 on the UK Independent Albums Chart.
In 2026, the band announced a return to operating independently, opening another chapter with a lineup consisting of Psarakis and Fonts alongside guitarist Jackson Snowden, bassist and violinist Richard Regier, and drummer Sam Neumann.
For Funerals, SICKSENSE worked closely with producer Joey Doherty as the group explored a darker, heavier and more experimental side of its sound.

SICKSENSE will bring the new material to stages across North America beginning in November, combining a run of headline appearances with support dates alongside MUSHROOMHEAD & FEAR FACTORY, HEAL THE HURT, PRIMER 55, 40 BELOW SUMMER and EYES SET TO KILL. Purchase tickets here
