Multinational blackened death metal supergroup Sinsaenum, formed in 2016, has announced their third album In Devastation, set for release on August 8, 2025, via earMUSIC. The third single Obsolete and Broken, with its sci-fi-themed lyrics of domination and decay, blends fierce aggression with a clean vocal bridge and sitar, marking a bold new direction. “It’s melodic yet aggressive, with intricate parts and a solo section I’m proud of,” says guitarist Frédéric Leclercq (Kreator).

A tribute to drummer Joey Jordison (Slipknot, d. 2021) and Leclercq’s late father, the album, produced by Lasse Lammert, balances brutal riffs with progressive elements like cello. Featuring Leclercq, Attila Csihar (Mayhem), Sean Zatorsky (Dååth), Stéphane Buriez (Loudblast), Heimoth (Seth), and drummer Andre Joyzi, it’s a cathartic evolution.
