Death-doom band SOLYSTALGIA have unveiled a new music video for “Funeral,” a track taken from their self-titled debut album, released on June 24, 2026, through Nameless Grave Records. The video premiered through Stoned Meadow of Doom.

Combining the crushing weight of death metal with the atmospheric darkness of doom, SOLYSTALGIA explore themes of grief, loss, and atrocity throughout their eight-track debut. The album moves between intricate death metal riffs, oppressive rhythms, and expansive ambient passages, creating a bleak and emotionally charged listening experience.

The record features drummer Austin Wheeler of SAVAGE OATH, alongside guest vocals from Tanner Anderson, known for his work with CRYPT SERMON, OBSEQUIAE, MAJESTIES, and PANOPTICON. Anderson appears on the album’s seventh track, “Entropic,” the longest composition on the record at over ten minutes.

Recorded by Wilco and Austin Wheeler, the album was mixed by Wheeler and the band, with additional mixing by Kona Ossana on “Acceptance.” Mastering was handled by Arthur Rizk, whose work helps preserve the balance between the album’s dense instrumentation and atmospheric elements. The cover artwork was created by Adam Chmielowski.

With influences that will appeal to listeners of HOODED MENACE, MORTIFERUM, AHAB, DREAM UNENDING, and DISEMBOWELMENT, SOLYSTALGIA establish their approach to death-doom through a combination of technical musicianship, deliberate pacing, and atmospheric experimentation.
