Belgian thrash and heavy metallers EVIL INVADERS have announced their highly anticipated fourth studio album, Weaponized Chaos, set for release on February 19, 2027, via Napalm Records. Alongside the announcement, the band has unleashed a blistering new single, “D.S.S. (Death Strikes Suddenly),” accompanied by an official performance video.
Marking their first full-length release since 2022’s Shattering Reflection, the upcoming album promises the band’s most diverse and ambitious material yet, combining relentless thrash aggression with melodic heavy metal, crushing grooves, and progressive elements.
EVIL INVADERS Unleash “D.S.S. (Death Strikes Suddenly)”
The newly released single delivers everything fans have come to expect from EVIL INVADERS: razor-sharp riffs, high-pitched screams, relentless rhythms, and blistering guitar solos.
The band describes the track:
“A hard hitting thrash anthem that will kick you right in the face. It’ll take you back to the pure roots of thrash metal with a lot of twists and turns. Resulting in a solo battle between Max and Joe before the last chorus kicks in.”
The accompanying performance video captures the band’s raw energy and technical precision, offering fans an explosive first taste of what’s to come.
Weaponized Chaos: A New Chapter for EVIL INVADERS
Produced once again by Francesco Paoli of FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE, Weaponized Chaos represents a significant evolution in the band’s songwriting while maintaining the uncompromising attitude that has defined their career.
Speaking about the upcoming release, EVIL INVADERS explain:
“This is our most versatile album to date, and we couldn’t be more excited for you to hear it!
This album has everything: speed and savage thrash to crushing grooves, catchy melodic heavy metal, progressive twists, and atmospheric passages. This album takes you on a ride through different tempos, moods, and shades of our sound. No two tracks are quite alike, yet they all belong together.”
The band also revealed that selecting singles proved particularly challenging because of the album’s musical diversity.
“When we finished the mixes, everyone in the band and our close circle had a different favorite track. To us, that says everything about the album: There’s something here for everyone, and we’re curious to see which songs hit you the hardest.”
Throughout its ten tracks, Weaponized Chaos explores both the aggressive and melodic sides of EVIL INVADERS.
The title track delivers rapid-fire riffing and technically demanding guitar solos from Max Mayhem, while “Dreamstate” combines Senne Jacobs’ powerful drumming with dense guitar arrangements and Joe Van Audenhove’s dynamic vocal performance. Lyrically, the song examines the pressures, repetition, and sensory overload of modern life.
Elsewhere, “Bloodstains” draws inspiration from horror imagery, while “Drenched In Disdain” explores social isolation through atmospheric bass passages and crushing instrumentation. “Fear” addresses contemporary themes of misinformation, anxiety, polarization, and hatred.
However, the album isn’t exclusively focused on speed and aggression.
“The Wait” introduces a more melodic and emotionally driven approach, while “Forever By My Side” stands as one of the record’s most personal compositions.
The latter serves as a tribute to former guitarist Sam Lemmens, who played with EVIL INVADERS between 2011 and 2015 and recently passed away. Featuring a slower, haunting arrangement and deeply personal lyrics, the track offers a poignant contrast to the band’s signature intensity.
The album concludes with “Lucid Dreaming,” a composition originally written by Lemmens in 2014, establishing another meaningful connection between the band’s past and present.
