ENDLESS CHAIN unveils emotional new single “Save Me” ahead of Nothingness album release

Finnish melodic death and gothic metallers ENDLESS CHAIN has released its latest single, “Save Me,” accompanied by an official music video. The emotionally charged track serves as the third preview of the band’s upcoming studio album, Nothingness, scheduled for release on November 20, 2026, via M-Theory Audio.

Following previously released singles “Down” and “Fade To Nothingness,” the new song offers another glimpse into the band’s distinctive combination of haunting melodies, crushing riffs, and atmospheric melancholy.

Blending the soaring clean vocals of Ville Hovi with the powerful growls of Aki Salonen, “Save Me” explores deeply personal themes of grief, memory, and the emotional struggles that follow the loss of someone close.

“Save Me” explores grief, memory, and despair

For guitarist and primary songwriter Timo Mölsä, the new single represents one of the standout moments from Nothingness, capturing the emotional depth that defines the band’s forthcoming record.

“This is definitely one of my favourites from the new album. I think we really managed to capture the right mood with this one, and the song is full of emotion,” Mölsä explains.

“Ville Hovi’s lyrics, combined with the amazing vocal performances by both Ville and Aki Salonen, really bring the song to life in a beautiful way. You have to listen to ‘Save Me’ and watch the music video, it really adds another layer to the song!”

Lyrically, “Save Me” tells the story of a man struggling to cope with the death of someone close to him. As memories of the past begin to consume his thoughts, the boundaries between reality and recollection gradually become increasingly difficult to distinguish.

Vocalist Ville Hovi elaborates on the song’s meaning:

“‘Save Me’ explores themes of memory, loss, shame and despair. After losing someone close to him, a man is haunted by ghosts from his past that return as powerful memories. As time passes, his memories begin to blur with reality, making it difficult to tell what belongs to the present and what belongs to the past, what is real and what is imagined.”

The song also examines the emotional weight of unresolved feelings and missed opportunities, while leaving a small opening for hope amid overwhelming darkness.

“He is also haunted by everything that was left unsaid and undone, and by thoughts of what could have been. At the heart of the song is a deep sense of despair and a longing for this troubled existence to finally end. Yet, even in the darkest moments, there remains a small thought that perhaps life might still hold some hope.”

The accompanying music video was created by Dronicon Films, whose previous work includes collaborations with SWALLOW THE SUN, KRYPTOS, and DEVIN TOWNSEND.

Nothingness arrives November 20

ENDLESS CHAIN’s third studio album, Nothingness, marks an important milestone for the Finnish band as its first internationally released full-length record.

Building upon the atmospheric foundations of their previous releases, the upcoming album promises a combination of melancholic melodies, dark gothic textures, and aggressive melodic death metal instrumentation.

The band’s sound is driven by the contrasting vocal performances of Hovi and Salonen, supported by the guitar work of Mölsä and Aleksanteri Kuosa, alongside the rhythmic intensity of drummer Samuli Mikkonen.

The result is a musical approach that moves between moments of emotional vulnerability and crushing heaviness, drawing on the traditions of Finnish melodic metal while maintaining a distinctive gothic atmosphere.

Production and mixing were handled by Aleksanteri Kuosa, whose credits include WOLFHEART, WALTERI, and DAWN OF SOLACE.

Mastering was completed by Tony Lindgren, known for his work with AMORPHIS, INSOMNIUM, and KATATONIA.

The album artwork was created by Kalle Pyyhtinen, whose portfolio includes collaborations with CHILDREN OF BODOM, ENTWINE, and HANGING GARDEN.

Nothingness will be available digitally and in several physical formats, including a Digipak CD with booklet and a limited-edition hardwood-colored vinyl pressing restricted to 300 copies.

Physical pre-orders are available through Bandcamp, the M-Theory Audio webstore, and Finland’s RecordShopX.

ENDLESS CHAIN’s journey through Finnish melodic metal

Founded by guitarist and songwriter Timo Mölsä, ENDLESS CHAIN began as a personal creative project before developing into a full band rooted in Finland’s rich melodic metal tradition.

The band’s debut album, Forthcoming Past, arrived in 2021, introducing listeners to its atmospheric combination of gothic melancholy, melodic death metal aggression, and emotionally driven songwriting.

Following the debut, ENDLESS CHAIN established a more consistent recording and performing lineup, allowing the musicians to further develop their collaborative sound.

Their sophomore album, Agony, released in 2024, expanded upon those foundations with progressive influences, intricate arrangements, and a stronger emphasis on the contrasting vocal styles of Hovi and Salonen.

Across ten tracks, Agony explored themes of personal struggle, resilience, and the search for hope amid emotional turmoil.

With Nothingness, the band continues refining that approach, embracing a darker and more introspective atmosphere while preserving the melodic intensity that has become central to its identity.
