Arizona metal icons Soulfly have dropped a powerful new animated video for “Favela/Dystopia”, taken from their latest album Chama.

Blending groove-laden aggression with their signature tribal edge, “Favela/Dystopia” stands as one of Chama’s most hard-hitting tracks. Behind the kit, Zyon Cavalera delivers a commanding performance, injecting a modern intensity into the band’s sonic assault.
To bring the track to life visually, the band enlisted Matt Creeptoon, whose haunting animation paints a stark and unflinching picture of life in Brazilian favelas. The result is a visceral, gritty companion piece that mirrors the song’s raw energy and social weight.

Chama was recorded at Platinum Underground Studio in Mesa, Arizona, and produced by Zyon Cavalera alongside Arthur Rizk, who also handled mixing and mastering. The album features appearances from Dino Cazares (Fear Factory) and Todd Jones (Nails), further cementing its place among the year’s most punishing releases.
The band are currently wrapping up their U.S. run supporting GWAR on “The Gor-Gor Strikes Back Tour”, alongside King Parrot.
