Nordic Folk Band Sowulo Converses with Death on New Single Sōl ond Māni From Upcoming Album Niht

Nordic folk band Sowulo, formed in 2012 in Arnhem, Netherlands, presents their new single Sōl ond Māni from their sixth album Niht, set for release on August 29, 2025, via Season of Mist. Released on July 30, 2025, the track, inspired by Norse mythology, features a broken nyckelharpa and vocals shifting from whispers to howls, depicting the sun and moon chased by wolves until Ragnarök. Composed by Faber Horbach after the loss of his father and stepfather, the track features a broken nyckelharpa, carnyx, and tagelharpa, with grieving vocals shifting from whispers to howls. Sowulo performs at Castlefest on August 1, 2025.
