Canadian/U.S. progressive rock/metal collective Syrinx have unveiled their long-awaited sophomore album, Time Out of Place, out now via Ocula Records.
A bold modern-day rock opera, Time Out of Place collides ethereal soundscapes with crushing riffs, heavy moods, and unforgettable hooks. The album was recorded entirely on analog gear—eschewing digital tools and AI trickery—for a warm, authentic sound that channels the spirit of 70s prog while pushing the boundaries of modern heavy metal.
At the heart of SYRINX’s sound are the soaring vocals of JP Abboud (ex-Traveler, Termination Shock, Prequel to Madness) and the signature guitar and synth work of Graham McGee (ex-Spell, Opulent Decay, For None and All). Joined by drummer Seth Lyon, bassist Bobby Shock, and supporting vocalist Lady Chanelle, the band delivers a theatrical, cerebral journey that is both uncompromising and deeply human.

With limited physical editions available, 475 blue/purple vinyl LPs and 200 CDs—fans of Rush, Genesis, Fates Warning, Queensrÿche, and Judas Priest will not want to miss this release.
