Italian symphonic power metallers TEMPERANCE has unveiled the official music video for “The Fool,” the fourth and final single from their upcoming studio album, Arcani, arriving October 16, 2026, via Napalm Records.
Opening with an atmospheric instrumental passage, “The Fool” showcases vocalist Kristin Starkey’s dynamic range before introducing the band’s signature interplay of male and female vocals. Uplifting melodies, soaring guitar work, and elaborate symphonic arrangements highlight the distinctive sound that has become a defining element of TEMPERANCE.
Guitarist and vocalist Marco Pastorino explains the song’s creation:
“The final single leading up to Arcani, ‘The Fool,’ has a rather unique story behind it. I received these lyrics from Kristin, and built the entire song around them. The perfect opening track for this new full-length album, it blends many of the signature elements that define TEMPERANCE: from epic choruses and soaring guitar melodies to a neoclassical acoustic break. Get ready to discover ‘The Fool’ card and one of the longest tracks of the record.”
A New Chapter Inspired by Tarot
Structured around the symbolism of Tarot, Arcani features 13 tracks, each inspired by a different card from the Major Arcana. While not a traditional concept album, the record connects its songs through themes of transformation, personal reflection, and self-discovery.
The band’s eighth studio album builds upon the symphonic foundations of its predecessor, Hermitage, incorporating powerful guitar solos, intricate vocal harmonies, and some of the most personal lyrics in TEMPERANCE’s catalog.
Pastorino comments on the upcoming release:

Throughout Arcani, TEMPERANCE explores a broad musical spectrum. Tracks such as “The Magician: Into the Fire” deliver energetic power metal, while “Death: Right Before We Die” embraces a more emotional, mid-tempo approach. “The Tower: Lean Into Fear” introduces hard rock influences, and “The Devil: Sin, Sin, Sin” combines darker atmospheres with an infectious chorus.
Other highlights include “The Chariot: Alla Ricerca dell’America,” featuring Italian lyrics and a Swedish passage, and the closing track “The World,” an acoustic-driven composition that brings the album’s Tarot-inspired journey to its conclusion.

European Tour With KAMELOT
Following the album’s release, TEMPERANCE will join KAMELOT and EXIT EDEN for the European leg of KAMELOT’s Dark Asylum World Tour, beginning November 1 in London.
The tour will visit major cities across the United Kingdom and Europe, including Manchester, Lyon, Stuttgart, Warsaw, Budapest, Barcelona, and Madrid, before concluding on November 22.
