Recorded at the Mexico City Arena before a sold-out audience of 11,000 fans, Con Orquesta captures THERION’s majestic return to the orchestral stage alongside the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de México. This spectacular concert will now be immortalized as a limited physical release, available in lavish editions on DVD and BluRay.
As a first preview, THERION have unveiled the live rendition of their most iconic song, “The Rise of Sodom and Gomorrah”. Originally featured on 1998’s Vovin and amassing nearly eight million streams on Spotify, the track’s grandiose fusion of symphonic majesty and metal power reaches new heights in this orchestral version.
“‘The Rise of Sodom and Gomorrah’ is our most popular song and it was an obvious choice for this event. But it is also one of the most suitable songs to perform live with orchestra,” says THERION.
With Con Orquesta, THERION reaffirm their status as true innovators and architects of symphonic metal’s most ambitious frontiers.
