Portland, Oregon epic heavy metallers UNCHAINED VENGEANCE have announced their debut full-length album, Unbound and Unforgiving, set for release on October 30, 2026 via Nameless Graves Records.
To introduce the record, the band has unleashed its first single, “The Whisper of Sorrowsbane,” accompanied by a new lyric video available through NWOTHM Full Albums.
Built around soaring vocals, galloping rhythms, thunderous riffs, and heroic melodies, Unbound and Unforgiving draws heavily from the traditions of classic and epic heavy metal. The band cites influences suited for fans of early Hammerfall, Doomsword, Crescent Shield, and Iron Maiden.

Forged in Portland
UNCHAINED VENGEANCE brings together vocalist Nick Courtney, formerly of Vicious Rumors and Iron Maiden tribute band Fear of the Dark, with multi-instrumentalist Nick Wusz of Dolven and Travellers Rest.
Their debut dives headfirst into a world of warriors, blades, sorcery, conquest, revenge, and fallen kingdoms, using those themes as the foundation for ten tracks of traditional heavy metal.
“The Whisper of Sorrowsbane” explores the bond between a warrior and their blade, while “False Knight” turns its attention toward false champions. “Only Ruins Remain” tells of a bittersweet return to a homeland that has fallen into ruin.
Between the album’s full-length metal tracks are four instrumental interludes — “Realms of Wonder and Might,” “Crowned in Crimson Dawn,” “Swords Against Sorcery,” and “The Price of Conquest” — performed by dungeon synth musician Fen Walker. The acoustic and atmospheric passages provide brief moments of reflection between the album’s heavier compositions.

Music for Unbound and Unforgiving was recorded by Wusz at Cirrus Studios in Portland, Oregon, with Courtney’s vocals recorded at Perfect Audio in Vancouver, Washington. Pooya Entezari handled mixing and mastering at Perfect Audio, with album layout by Obscure Visions.
