German symphonic metallers XANDRIA have unveiled their latest single, “Colours,” offering another glimpse into their forthcoming studio album, Eclipse, due out August 7 via Napalm Records.
Accompanied by an official music video, “Colours” showcases the band’s signature fusion of symphonic grandeur and modern metal power.
Band founder and primary songwriter Marco Heubaum described the track as another window into the diversity of the upcoming album.
“This is the second song from our upcoming album that we are proud to share with you,” Heubaum said. “Together with the first single, ‘The Shannon’s Home,’ it offers another glimpse into the many different colours of the album — a journey full of discoveries, unexpected turns, and quite a few surprises.”
Following the success of 2023’s The Wonders Still Awaiting, which became the band’s highest-charting release by reaching No. 9 on the German album charts, Eclipse finds XANDRIA expanding their sonic palette even further. The album blends classic heavy metal influences with modern low-tuned guitars, Celtic folk elements, orchestral film-score grandeur, electronic textures, and atmospheric rock passages.
According to the band, Eclipse represents their most cinematic and outspoken work to date, tackling themes centered on contemporary social and political challenges. The album serves as a statement in support of reason, empathy, and democracy while continuing the ambitious musical direction established by the current lineup.
The record will feature several guest musicians, including Ally Storch, who appears on “Lore,” and longtime collaborator McAlbi, whose Celtic whistles can be heard across multiple tracks. “The Last Generation” includes contributions from a children’s choir and pianist Richard Z. Wang, while orchestral arrangements were performed by the Sofia Session Orchestra & Choir.
Additionally, the album’s orchestrations were created by Hollywood composers Lukas Geppert and Ishaan Tyagi, further reinforcing the cinematic scope of the project.

XANDRIA’s current lineup consists of Marco Heubaum (guitar, keyboards), Ambre Vourvahis (vocals), Robert Klawonn (guitar), and Dimitrios (drums).
