Hardcore lifers 100 Demons return with “Häxan Hammer,” the second single from their long-awaited new album, Embrace the Black Light, out June 5 via Closed Casket Activities.
Marking their first full-length in more than two decades, Embrace the Black Light isn’t just a comeback—it’s a deliberate reconstruction. Written by Pete Morcey, Rich Rosa, Rick Brayall, and Jeremy Braddock, alongside the return of Sean Martin, the album was built piece by piece throughout 2025, giving each track the space to evolve into something fully realized.
Recorded at Silver Bullet Studios and produced by Greg Thomas with engineering from Chris Teti, the result is the most complete and dynamic record in the band’s catalog—balancing their trademark ferocity with expanded depth and atmosphere.
“Häxan Hammer” stands as a unique piece within that process.
“This is the only full 100 Demons song on the record that was actually written many years ago,” says Morcey. “It deals with post-apocalyptic themes and how an end-of-the-world scenario could bring together the most unlikely alliances.”

A Return Forged in Time
Embrace the Black Light wastes no time reasserting the band’s identity—opening with relentless force while pushing into new territory without losing its footing. Across its twelve tracks, 100 Demons expand their sonic palette, adding texture and dimension without sacrificing the raw conviction that’s defined them for over 25 years.
The album is mastered by Will Putney (Graphic Nature Audio) and features artwork by James Bousema, with guest appearances from Colin Young and Taylor Young (Twitching Tongues, God’s Hate).
For decades, 100 Demons have remained one of hardcore’s most uncompromising forces. With Embrace the Black Light, they return not to revisit the past—but to push forward with renewed purpose.
