U.S. black metal band Abigail Williams has released their new single “Nonexistence,” now streaming on all major platforms, as of May 15, 2025. The track is the first single from their sixth studio album, A Void Within Existence, set to release on July 18, 2025, via Agonia Records.
“Nonexistence,” a 6:02 atmospheric yet ferocious track, marks the band’s first new music since 2019’s Walk Beyond the Dark. Frontman Ken Sorceron, joined by Vance Valenzuela (guitars), John Porada (bass), and new drummer Mike Heller (Fear Factory, Malignancy), delivers a haunting blend of black metal with a David Gilmour-esque guitar solo, as noted by Metal Injection. Sorceron shared, “This record was born in the quiet pm hours, when everything felt hollow… There’s a loneliness threaded through these songs that came from somewhere deeper than I expected.” The album, produced by Sorceron and mixed by Dave Otero (Aborted, Akhlys), with artwork by Eliran Kantor (Testament, Bloodbath), promises a cinematic, uncompromising journey.

Formed in 2004, Abigail Williams—now based in Olympia, Washington—has evolved from their early symphonic black metal roots to a more traditional, emotionally raw sound, as seen in albums like In the Absence of Light (2010) and Becoming (2012). A Void Within Existence explores existential themes of loss and disintegration across seven tracks, available for pre-order in formats like Digipak CD, Ash Grey LP, and digital.
