American heavy metal veterans ARMORED SAINT have released their new single and video “Hit A Moonshot”, taken from their forthcoming full-length Emotion Factory Reset, due out May 22 via Metal Blade Records.
Inspired by a baseball term for a towering home run, vocalist John Bush uses “Hit A Moonshot” to explore themes of luck, perseverance, and imbalance in life. “It’s like you knocked something out of the park,” Bush explains, noting how the track reflects both admiration and frustration toward those who always seem to land on their feet.
Musically, the song delivers everything fans expect from ARMORED SAINT, ferocious riffs, dynamic tempo shifts, soaring leads, and an anthemic chorus, while drawing influence from classic acts like Queen and The Sweet.
The band’s ninth studio album, Emotion Factory Reset, continues their legacy of evolution without repetition. Produced by bassist Joey Vera and mixed by Jay Ruston, the record is described as both a reinvention and a reflection—balancing their storied past with a forward-looking approach.
