Blood Incantation are set to descend upon cinemas nationwide for a one-night-only immersive event in collaboration with Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, celebrating their new documentary ALL GATES OPEN: IN SEARCH OF ABSOLUTE ELSEWHERE.
Taking place on May 20, 2026, the special screening will be hosted across 26 Alamo Drafthouse locations from coast to coast, culminating in a live Q&A broadcast from Alamo Drafthouse Sloans Lake in Denver. The event promises a full cosmic experience, combining film, music, and exclusive collector’s content.
The documentary offers an in-depth look at the creation of the band’s acclaimed 2024 album Absolute Elsewhere, filmed during sessions at Berlin’s legendary Hansa Studios. It traces the band’s evolution from underground death metal innovators into boundary-pushing architects of expansive, cosmic soundscapes.
The screening will also include a 20-minute pre-show featuring the official music video for “The Stargate,” setting the tone for the immersive experience ahead.
In a statement, the band reflected on the scope of the project:
“The creation of ‘Absolute Elsewhere’ was truly a monumental process… we are honored to be able to present ‘All Gates Open’ in its ideal context – in theaters.”
Fans attending the event will also have access to exclusive merchandise, including a limited edition All Gates Open tour T-shirt and a deluxe gatefold 2LP + Blu-ray edition of the original motion picture soundtrack. The collector’s set features a full documentary, three music videos, a 24-page booklet, poster, and etched vinyl—available in extremely limited quantities via AlamoMart.
