Charleston, West Virginia metal veterans Byzantine have unveiled their brand new video for Harbinger, a track off their latest full-length Harbingers, released last June via Metal Blade Records.
The stop-motion clip was months in the making, with vocalist Chris Ojeda co-writing the story alongside his daughter Mallory. The duo enlisted Mexican claymation artist Adrian Venti to hand-build every scene and Holly Grayson of Screaming Butterfly Entertainment to edit the final piece. The video tells the tale of a boy searching for meaning after the loss of his father, lured astray by a cunning Wolf, and ultimately redeemed through one small act of kindness toward a Raven.

Ojeda comments:
“Mallory and I are fans of all things stop motion , from Fantastic Mr. Fox to Coraline. We wanted this video to feel handmade and heartfelt. We even modeled the boy after my six-year-old son, Henry. This was truly a labor of love.”
