Internal Bleeding: Settle All Scores, The Punishing Seventh Album From the Kings of Slam, Arrives October 17th on Maggot Stomp

For over three decades, Long Island, New York’s Internal Bleeding has faced betrayal, tragedy, and setbacks—but never defeat. Their rage and resilience fuel Settle All Scores, the band’s long-awaited seventh full-length, dropping October 17th on Maggot Stomp.

From their groundbreaking debut Voracious Contempt, which coined the term “slam”, to genre-shaping records like The Extinction Of Benevolence, Driven To Conquer, and Corrupting Influence, Internal Bleeding have remained innovators in groove-laden death metal. With Settle All Scores, they deliver their most aggressive, vengeance-driven work to date.

The current lineup, Steve Worley (vocals), Chris McCarthy (guitar/vocals), Chris Pervelis (guitar), Kyle Eddy (drums), and Ryan Giordano (bass), crushes through eight tracks of punishing riffs, hardcore energy, and unrelenting groove. The record is aimed squarely at those who have wronged the band, making it their most personal effort yet.

Produced by Internal Bleeding, re-amped and mixed by Taylor Young at The Pit (Nails, Xibalba, God’s Hate), and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Obituary, Creeping Death), Settle All Scores features artwork by Mark Richards and guest vocals from Sherwood Webber (Skinless), Mikey Petroski (Never Ending Game), and former IB vocalists Joe Marchese, Jay Lowe, and Frank Rini.

On the title track, Pervelis explains:

“Nearly everyone can relate to wanting revenge. Settle All Scores is the perfect soundtrack for vengeance, blending my ‘70s/’80s riffs with McCarthy’s mid-‘90s/2000s style. We made it flow, and it hits hard.”

McCarthy adds:

“Revenge is better than any drug you could consume, and Settle All Scores is the Heroic Dose.”
