San Diego deathgrind band Cattle Decapitation have unveiled a new music video for “Dead End Residents,” a track taken from their acclaimed 2023 album Terrasite. The release serves as the final visual chapter for the Terrasite era before the band shifts its focus toward recording a new studio album targeted for release in 2027.

The video, directed by Nox Nohi, combines live footage captured during the band’s European tour with additional scenes from the No Fear For Tomorrow tour, offering fans one last look at the Terrasite cycle in action.
Vocalist Travis Ryan commented that the band is effectively sending Terrasite off to join the rest of their catalog while giving fans a farewell visual before entering a new creative phase.
Following their recent 30 Years Of Inhumanity headlining tour and an upcoming appearance at Flatline Fest, the band will enter what Ryan described as a brief “hibernation mode” to complete songwriting for their next album. According to the frontman, the group is already deep into the writing process and plans to enter the studio in January 2027.
Upon its release, Terrasite achieved significant chart success, reaching No. 2 on Billboard’s Current Hard Music Albums chart, No. 3 on the Current Independent Albums chart, and No. 4 on the Rock Albums chart, while also appearing on numerous year-end best-of lists.
The album was produced by Dave Otero and features artwork from longtime collaborator Wes Benscoter, known for his work with bands such as Vader, Kreator, Bloodbath, and Hypocrisy.
Additional atmospheric elements on the record were provided by Dis Pater of Midnight Odyssey, who contributed piano and synthesizer arrangements.
With Terrasite now officially entering its final chapter, Cattle Decapitation appear ready to begin the next stage of their evolution, with a new album already taking shape behind the scenes.
