Tampa, Florida hardcore thrash band COLD STEEL have released their full Audiotree Live performance, showcasing their aggressive blend of thrash metal, hardcore, and metalcore.
Following the release of their debut album, Discipline & Punish, via Spinefarm Records, and an extensive year of touring, the six-piece delivers a high-energy set highlighting material from their growing catalog.
The session features tracks from Discipline & Punish, including “Blacksmith of Damnation,” “Killing Season,” and “No Escape,” alongside “Wildfire” and “Dissolve Us All” from their 2021 EP, Will of Spiritual Cleansing.
Tampa’s next generation of aggressive metal
Formed in 2021, COLD STEEL have quickly established themselves within Florida’s heavy music scene, drawing inspiration from Tampa’s longstanding history of extreme metal.
Combining thrash-inspired riffs, hardcore breakdowns, and metalcore intensity, the band describes its sound simply as “aggressive metal.”
Their early releases, Will of Spiritual Cleansing (2021) and Deeper Into Greater Pain (2023), helped build a dedicated following with tracks such as “Bad Beat,” “Evil Eye,” and “Full Tilt.”
One of the band’s earliest milestones came during their fourth live performance, when they earned an opening slot for TRIVIUM through a fan poll. Since then, COLD STEEL have shared stages with established acts including OBITUARY and WEEKEND NACHOS.
Their debut full-length, Discipline & Punish, represents another step forward for the band, reinforcing their reputation for relentless riffs and intense live performances.
The new Audiotree Live session captures that energy, offering fans a chance to experience COLD STEEL’s sound in a live studio setting.
