Florida power metallers SEVEN KINGDOMS have announced their sixth full-length album, Sono Sola, set for release on January 29, 2027, via Reigning Phoenix Music. Following a successful crowdfunding campaign, the band has also unveiled the album’s title track alongside an official music video.
Sono Sola marks a new chapter for SEVEN KINGDOMS, with the band exploring a darker and heavier direction while retaining the melodic foundation of their sound.
Vocalist Sabrina Cruz describes “Sono Sola” as the first introduction to this new era, highlighting a deeper vocal approach that makes greater use of her lower register alongside grit and powerful belting. Lyrically, the song examines the wisdom gained through experience and the realization that greater understanding can often reveal how little we truly know.
The accompanying video was filmed in the desert near Groom Lake, with its isolated landscape reflecting the song’s themes of solitude, resilience, nostalgia and regret.
“Life often brings seasons of isolation and loneliness, but it is precisely in that aloneness that we discover our true resilience,” Cruz explains. “Ultimately, ‘Sono Sola’ is equal parts nostalgia and regret: like missing something deeply, knowing that hindsight is 20/20, and realizing you can’t get back what’s gone.”
The album also continues SEVEN KINGDOMS’ partnership with Reigning Phoenix Music. Guitarist Camden Cruz says the successful crowdfunding campaign allowed the band to dedicate more time and resources to the project than ever before.
“This album represents our most intensive work, the collective growth and the band together, firing on all cylinders,” Cruz says. “It was the first time in our career we were able to spend the time and money getting everything we wanted completed at the highest level we could physically give.”
Sono Sola was recorded at the legendary Morrisound Recording in April and May 2026 with Jim Morris, whose credits include SAVATAGE, WARRANT and DEATH. Morris worked alongside SEVEN KINGDOMS on the writing process and produced the record with the band and co-producer Francesco Cavalieri of WIND ROSE. The album artwork was created by Bo Bradshaw.
