Spain’s Epic doom/heavy metal band Crimson Coven, formed in 2023, has announced their debut EP -0- The Genesis, set for release on August 15, 2025, via Shadow Kingdom Records. A “revelation from the shadows,” the four-track EP, spanning nearly 20 minutes, channels “spell-forged heavy metal” with a haunting, stately sound evoking early Candlemass and Solitude Aeturnus, infused with the sword-wielding grandeur of Tales of Medusa.
The enigmatic quintet, their origins “obscured by fog and firelight,” delivers twin-guitar harmonies reminiscent of Iron Maiden’s noble fire and colossal riffage rooted in epic doom tradition. Vocalist J.’s soaring, spectral presence evokes a herald of ancient truths. Presented on a deluxe one-sided 12” vinyl with an etched B-side and exclusive marble engraving, -0- The Genesis marks a formidable conjuring.
