American death metal band Barbarous has released the video for Tools Of The Trade from their debut album Initium Mors, set for release on August 1, 2025, via Creator-Destructor Records. The track, premiered via Metal Injection, is streaming with a video by Marcelle Marais of Tritonia Films on YouTube.
Vocalist Travis Laberge describes the song as depicting an “evil executioner” with medieval and death metal vibes, paying homage to Carcass. Influenced by Cannibal Corpse, Skeletal Remains, Necrot, and Gatecreeper, the eight-track album delivers relentless Bay Area destruction, recorded by Cody Fuentes at Rapture Studios and featuring art by Dan Seagrave (Dismember, Hypocrisy). The lineup includes Travis Laberge (vocals), Thomas Belfiore (guitar), Zachary Weed (guitar, vocals), Zach Jakes (bass), and Travis Zupo (drums).
