American death metal band Ritual Mass, formed in 2018 in Pittsburgh has announced their debut album Cascading Misery, set for release on September 5, 2025, via 20 Buck Spin. The six-track album, described as a “series of calculated assaults on the virtue of the holy,” is available for pre-order on LP, CD, MC, and digital formats at 20buckspin.com and ritualmass.bandcamp.com.
Featuring N. Dudash (bass, vocals, synth), P. Trona (guitar, backing vocals), R. Mauck (guitar), and G. Austin (drums), the album blends influences from Incantation and Vastum, with a suffocating atmosphere praised by Stereogum for its “monstrous” vocals. The lead single Immeasurable Hell is streaming on YouTube and Bandcamp. Ritual Mass performs live on August 30, 2025, at Century Bar in Philadelphia.
