Dutch futuristic metallers Cryptosis have released a new live video for “In Between Realities,” captured during their album release show at Metropool in Enschede, Netherlands, on March 29, 2025. The track, from their sophomore album Celestial Death (out now via Century Media Records), explores the tension between physical reality and an immersive virtual world, reflecting on modern escapism and technology’s impact on existence. The band—Laurens Houvast (vocals, guitars), Marco Prij (drums), and Frank te Riet (bass, mellotron, synths, backing vocals)—delivers a darker, heavier, and more cinematic sound across the 11-track, 42-minute album, which includes songs like “Faceless Matter” and “Reign of Infinite.” Recorded by Olaf Skoreng, mixed by Fredrik Folkare, and mastered by Tony Lindgren, the album features artwork by Eliran Kantor and has earned high praise, with Metal Hammer Germany giving it 5/7 and Rock Hard Germany scoring it 8/10.

Cryptosis kicks off a European tour next week with Onslaught, celebrating the 40th anniversary of Power From Hell, starting May 29 in Oldenburg, Germany, at MTS, with additional solo dates like Herrie Fest in Alkmaar on May 30.
