London, UK – Blackened death metal duo Cult Burial have unleashed their new single, Collapse, the first taste of their forthcoming third album, Collapse of Pattern, Reverence of Dust, set for release on September 5, 2025, in digital, CD, and vinyl formats. Stream Collapse now on Bandcamp, Spotify, and Apple Music.

Pre-orders for the album are available on Bancamp.

Collapse of Pattern, Reverence of Dust explores the erosion of structures, certainty, and meaning across eight tracks, blending aggression and despair with dense, layered soundscapes that shift from claustrophobic intensity to exposed, raw edges. The tracklist includes:

  1. Vincula
  2. Collapse
  3. Aether
  4. Mire
  5. Enthrall
  6. Beseech
  7. Vestige
  8. Seethe

Known for their confluence of black, death, and doom metal, Cult Burial—Simon Langford (music) and César Moreira (vocals)—crafts music marked by dissonant guitar work, relentless drumming, and guttural vocals, delving into existentialism, decay, and the human psyche. Mixed by Greg Dawson at BWC Studios and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, with artwork by Legerdemain, the album promises to be their finest work yet, following the acclaimed Cult Burial (2020) and Reverie of the Malignant (2022).Since forming in 2020, Cult Burial has earned praise for their authentic approach, with Cult Burial hailed as “nine impressively intense (and surprisingly intricate) tracks” by No Clean Singing, and Reverie of the Malignant lauded as “undoubtably onto something” by Angry Metal Guy.
