Ohio’s boundary-pushing death metal extremists Sanguisugabogg—Cody Davidson (drums), Drew Arnold (bass/guitars), Devin Swank (vocals), and Ced Davis (bass/guitars)—are back with their third full-length album, Hideous Aftermath, set for release on October 10, 2025, via Century Media. Pre-orders are available now across multiple formats, including digital, CD Digipak, and various limited-edition vinyls (transp. red, white-black marbled, magenta-lilac marbled, crystal clear, green smoke, purple smoke, and red LP). The band has also premiered the NSFW video for their first single, Abhorrent Contraception (feat. Josh Welshman of Defeated Sanity), available to watch online.
Described by the band as “a timeless classic with a theme very tried and true with our genre… about the slaughter of an entire family and the unborn,” the track sets the tone for an album Swank calls “our most death metal record, our most personal record, our most focused and brutal record to date.” Produced by Kurt Ballou (Nails, High on Fire) at God City Studios in Salem, MA, Hideous Aftermath follows their 2021 debut Tortured Whole and 2023’s Homicidal Ecstacy, showcasing a career-defining command over their gore-obsessed, violence-inclined sound.

The tracklist includes:
- Rotted Entanglement
- Felony Abuse of a Corpse (feat. Peeling Flesh)
- Ritual of Autophagia (feat. Todd Jones of Nails)
- Heinous Testimony
- Abhorrent Contraception (feat. Josh Welshman of Defeated Sanity)
- Repulsive Demise
- Erotic Beheading
- Sanctified Defilement
- Semi Automatic Facial Reconstruction (feat. Travis Ryan of Cattle Decapitation)
- Paid in Flesh (feat. Dylan Walker of Full of Hell)
Emerging from relentless touring with acts like Cannibal Corpse and Lorna Shore, Sanguisugabogg have evolved beyond their “caveman death metal” roots, flexing their musical muscle with guest spots from Peeling Flesh, Nails, Cattle Decapitation, and Full of Hell. Swank reflects, “Eight or nine years ago, it seemed like what we were doing was pretty niche… Maybe we made pain and suffering fun.” Recent appearances at Sonic Temple and Welcome to Rockville highlight their growing reach.
