DARK FUNERAL have released “We Are The Apocalypse (Live in Stockholm)”, the second single from their forthcoming live album A Beast To Praise, which arrives August 21, 2026 via Century Media Records.
Recorded at Fållan in Stockholm during the band’s 2022 tour supporting We Are The Apocalypse, the 13-track live release captures nearly 70 minutes of the Swedish black metal veterans’ uncompromising stage performance. The concert documents the band’s return to the stage following the pandemic and celebrates an album that charted across Europe, reaching No. 6 in Germany, No. 13 in Finland, No. 28 in Switzerland, No. 29 in Austria, and No. 31 in Sweden.
Speaking about the release, guitarist Lord Ahriman reflected on the significance of the performance.
“A Beast To Praise captures a very important moment in the history of DARK FUNERAL—not only the live release ritual for We Are The Apocalypse, but also our return to the stage after years of silence during the pandemic. That night at Fållan was intense in every possible way. The energy in the room, the fire, the audience and the atmosphere all came together into something far beyond an ordinary concert.”
He added that the live album closes the chapter surrounding We Are The Apocalypse while the band is already focused on its next studio album, currently planned for release in 2027.
A Beast To Praise features live performances of fan favorites including “The Arrival Of Satan’s Empire,” “My Funeral,” “Leviathan,” “Vobiscum Satanas,” “Nail Them To The Cross,” “The Secrets Of The Black Arts,” and “Where Shadows Forever Reign.” The album will be available on CD, multiple vinyl editions, and digital platforms.
Following the album’s release, DARK FUNERAL will appear at several European festivals before joining BEHEMOTH and DIMMU BORGIR on the “In League With Satan” European tour throughout October. The trek includes stops in Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg, Italy, France, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Finland, Sweden, and Denmark.
